Texas can better engage parents! Schedule HB 507 for a hearing!
Relating to a task force to coordinate and make recommendations on parent engagement and education programs provided by state agencies.

Help HB 680 get through the Senate Education Committee!
Relating to the powers and duties of the Texas Workforce Commission and local workforce development boards regarding the provision of child care.

Ask the Senate HHS Committee to Hear SB 637!
SB 637 would have Texas move to a twelve-month continuous coverage system for children in Medicaid. This shift would eliminate paperwork hassles that prevent eligible children from enrolling in Medicaid and is a recognized best practice adopted by most states. Moving to a twelve-month continuous coverage system would keep more children covered ultimately resulting in 1) improved health outcomes for kids, who can regularly attend school and 2) build a stronger workforce for Texas.
